Our hotel recommended this as a great place to eat and if we showed our key we would receive a 10% discount. The hostess didn't say one word to us. Our waitress had never heard if such discount and was not the friendliest person. Southern hospitality has been lost in this restaurant. We will not return.

Food was great. We had 4 different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal. A bit tricky to figure out parking if not from the area. But great views from the windows !

A lovely eatery with a country-casual relaxing atmosphere. Very enjoyable dining experience! The biscuits I ordered were Texas-size, and the gravy was delicious! What a treat! The service was fantastic! Next time I'm in Glen Rose, I will definitely stop in for a bite to eat.

Great find on our vacation. Good food (we went for breakfast and lunch) and very reasonable prices. Biggest biscuits in TX is their claim. Very satisfied!

Wonderful service. The menu selection was beyond extensive and loved the chips and salsa. Food came out timely and everyone felt their food was delicious. The taco salad was perfect and the cowboy burger was awesome- green beans as a side had a ton of flavor. Prices were decent for sure!

They really do have large cups 😂 and really big biscuits, almost the size of a brick! But the biscuit was slightly undercooked and had an unusual tangy sourdough flavor. The omelette was a good size but the cheese inside was not melted —just kind of lukewarm, but not melted— which was confusing and weird. The coffee was fresh and included a refill. The oatmeal and toast were totally fine. The interior of the restaurant was clean and comfortable, with pretty decent bathrooms, and the waitress provided friendly, small town casual service. If the food were better, it could be a great place, but the food we had was just OK.

The queso and beef is awesome, the salsa is homemade daily and very good. The chicken fried steak is really good as a steak or sandwich. I don't care for the corn. Too much pepper. Prices were reasonable and the service was outstanding.

Massive servings for most meals. Not great place for people with food allergies. Great place for comfort food. Friendly service. I enjoyed our visit with a very large group.

Visited Glen Rose this weekend and chose Big Cup Eatery for one of our meals. The food was very tasty however the service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited over 40 mins after ordering before we got part of our meal and 2 tables that were seated after us had alread been served. The waitress forgott the salad dressing, tarter sauce and the side order for one of the dishes, instead of going to the kitchen to get those items so we could begin our meal she went to collect orders and serve drinks to another table. 10 mins later I got up to go to the kitchen area to see if we could get the rest of our meals and she came up with a "OH I forgot" look and said she's coming. There were apologies by the cashier but nothing else. They were not busy (many open tables) and appeared to have plenty of staff. There just isn't an excuse for bad service.

Stopped in when we went camping and staff was friendly attentive and coffee was perfect! I did feel the price was a bit high for breakfast and the biscuits were huge but a bit undercooked is the only reason I gave 3 stars.

I came here on my way back from Dinosaur Valley State Park. A cute place with a nice view of the local scenery. Some interesting signature dishes like the Quesadilla Burger here, stop by if you’re in the area.

We came for breakfast. The portions were huge and well prepared. Our waitress took good care of us but it took some time for the food to come out even though we were the only group in the place. Pancakes were thick and cakey and had just the right amount of sweetness. Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly.

Very good food and friendly service as always. Not expensive and good quality food. Never disappointed with this place. Tried many different things and always good. Mexican and American breakfast to dinner. Must try if you are in glenrose.

To start I ordered a non refillable large cup of apple juice for 3$ which was room temperature. My girlfriend ordered hot chocolate and after sipping on it a bit we discovered a long curly hair adrift within the cup. After ordering and an absurd wait I received a cold plate of hash browns and a chewy Belgium waffle. Their prices don’t reflect the product and I feel like I’ve been robbed with the addition of a stomach ache.

We always stop in her for dinner and a beer after hiking the parks in Glen rose. Really good food and the server always seems to be that cool, older, small town lady with a little sass. Love it.

Fried pickles were good. The burger quesadilla was okay. My husband had a bacon burger on sour dough bread which was very good! Waitress was amazing. She was very sweet and fairly quick with everything. Which is great with our 2 year old son. The overall price for everything was great! We will be back when we are in the area again!

The waitress was polite and helpful. The food was surprisingly good! The manager on the other hand was a rude and condescending woman. Still 5 stars regardless because out of all the restaurants we visited in town this was the cleanest so far.

Very unique experience. Reasonable prices and good food. Named the Big Cup, you can get your exercise lifting a full cup of coffee. Portions are also generous. Take your small car because parking spaces are minimal. We pretended to fit our quad cab long bed pickup into one of them. Not everything in Texas is big.

Chicken fajita salad with ancho ranch dressing was really good.Fried catfish with seasoned fries, hush pups, charro beans and coleslaw was excellent. The 3 fish fillets were huge and fried to perfection. The charro beans I thought was an odd pairing at first, but they were excellent. The creamy slaw was standard, but better than average. The only slight disappointment was the frozen extruded hush pups, they weren't bad, but I know this kitchen could make awesome homemade ones. Been here many times, will be back many times. Service can be a bit hit or miss, but I've never had bad service, mostly young servers who might not be 100% there yet, but hey, give them a break.

Well we have been sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for our food... that seems a bit much, it's not that busy.It just showed up, there are 6 of us.Eating and it's delicious!! Totally worth the wait. I especially love that they give you the option to have avocado as your side. Their grilled veggies are scrumptious I will definitely be back again!!

FAITH our waitress was the only reason we didn't leave! And the bartender with gray and purple hair 😁 Connie the "head waitress" was unprofessional and unpleasant. Also she wouldn't wear her mask at all it was on her chin the entire time! The food i ordered was not good.(enchiladas and the skillet and tortillas) the rest of the food was good. Came expecting the 4 star reviews to show but I guess we came at the wrong time of day. The owner was very accommodating and handle our issue well! Would have given more stars if not for all the mishaps.

They had a varied menu. Food was good and the service was ok. They have a bar/private club that is separate from the restaurant and free to join. Not much to choose from in Glen Rose, but it was a popular spot.
